Location
First and foremost, you should never take up a place far-far away from your college or university. Your primary focus should be on cutting the travel time so that you would have more time to focus on your studies and social life. Having a few extra hours in your hand gives you enough space for yourself and takes up new things which you always wanted. You should make sure that it is near a metro station or a bus stop, whichever way you prefer to travel. Paying some extra money for a student hostel or PG like this would not hurt because you'll be saving on travel time, extra transport costs, and many more hassles.
Budget
Budget is one of the factors you cannot ignore. Firstly, you need to put a tab on how much you want to spend. PG for girls and boys can be expensive at times depending on many factors. Approachability and accessibility
While you search for a PG, you should for sure check if it is close to your college or university. But there are other things too you should look out for. At this point grab a pen and note it all down, as you might forget some of these things. Market! A nearby market is a must for getting small items of daily need. You cannot run to a supermarket every time you need a packet of lays or you are out of shampoo. Fruits, snacks, etc should also be available in the vicinity of your student accommodation because we need our vitamins, and we need to keep those taste buds calm too. ATMs are not that essential these days but keeping a little cash with you won't harm but would rather help when gpay stabs you. If you are a fitness enthusiast who likes open green spaces, then a park nearby would be a boon for you. You could go out for a little walk or a quick run and fill your lungs with fresh air.
